Mrs. Kausar Wali is an International Behavior Analyst (IBA), Qualified Behavior Analyst (QBA®), and Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA). She possesses a wealth of knowledge in supporting students with autism and other developmental disorders. With over 20 years of experience, Mrs. Wali is a dedicated and compassionate professional with extensive expertise in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and special education. Her educational qualifications include a Post Graduate MSc. in Psychology; SEN certified (UK); B.Ed.; MSc. in Mathematics along BSc. (Honours) degrees. She completed the prestigious Applied Behavior Analysis course sequence through the Florida Institute of Technology (U.S.A), earning her behavior analyst certification. Mrs. Kausar’s journey in applied behavior analysis (ABA) commenced after her son was diagnosed with autism in 2001, igniting her passion for supporting individuals with diverse needs. She pursued advanced training and certification in ABA/verbal behavior (VB) under the guidance of certified professionals and from the esteemed boards in USA.
Mrs. Kausar’s extensive professional background includes serving in various capacities within esteemed institutions for more than 15 years.
With over a decade of supervisory experience across diverse settings, Mrs. Kausar Wali has demonstrated exceptional leadership in conducting numerous ABA training courses; workshops and mentoring para-professionals, educators, and parents.
Mrs. Kausar develops programs for skill acquisition and reducing challenging behaviors using various assessment tools such as VB MAPP, ABLLs, Basic Language Assessment (BLA), Assessment of Functional Living Skills (AFLs), EFL, Preference assessments, and Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) etc. Furthermore, she has experience in training educators, staff and parents in the application of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) technology such as Proloquo2go, PECS, and Makaton/American Sign Language, integrating them into the learner’s Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP) in schools, clinics, and home settings.
Mrs. Kausar has extensive experience with children and adolescents diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder(ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Down Syndrome, Rett Syndrome, learning difficulties, and other developmental delays of varied levels of disability.
She has designed individualized educational plan(IEP) and intervention programs (IIP)with required accommodations of learning environment /modifications of curriculum at regular education. Additionally, she has closely collaborated with schools in assessing children with SEN needs, developing and implementing social skills and academic programs, positive behavior support plans, and providing training to staff and teachers.
Mrs. Wali’s contributions to the field have been widely recognized, culminating in her receiving of the prestigious HRH Princess Haya Award in 2008 for her exceptional dedication and contributions to childhood development and special education.
