Meet Elmien: Expert in Speech & Feeding Development
Elmien is a dedicated pediatric speech therapist from South Africa with over 25 years of experience helping children thrive. She specializes in diagnosing and treating young children with Autism, Down Syndrome, cerebral palsy, and other developmental challenges. With expertise in speech, language, and feeding therapy, she has worked in hospitals, schools, and private practice.
As a mother to a neurodivergent daughter, Elmien understands the journey firsthand. Her approach combines professional knowledge with deep empathy, empowering parents with practical strategies to support their child’s communication and feeding skills.
She holds advanced certifications in NDT, PROMPT, SOS Feeding, and more, and has published research on late language emergence in toddlers.
